Church bells opened up a beautiful morning in Newdigate for the return fixture with Westcott. Training on high catches has served us well with three great catches bringing some early momentum in the first three overs.

Joe delivered a classy wicket maiden in the first over, followed by some absolutely cracking bowling from Frankie with 3 awesome wickets in the second.

Freddie and Charlotte bowling super fast kept the opponents score low. Kaz joined in with a wicket maiden in the 9th followed by
Zac with a lovely wicket ball in the 10th. Bryce, Yousuf and Corey keeping the dot balls rolling in the last 6 overs.

Sam's match tea included plenty of goodies and a master stroke of ice lollies was very welcome by the teams and supporters alike.

In the Second innings our first batters Joe and Frankie gave some beautiful over the shoulder strikes with 4 boundaries between them knocking up 19 for their pair.

More great batting from Corey and Millie with some beautiful strokes from Corey over the left shoulder to the leg boundary built on a trend for the day.

Bryce and Zac gave us another two great fours before Fred and Charlotte upped the scoring with four more boundaries, only temporarily being pegged back by the very high skill and pace of Lucy, Wescott's fast bowler.

Kaz and Yusuf brought the win home scoring steadily and defending their wickets very well.

Both teams had massively reduced the extras count since the first game, showing significant improvement and continuing to play with great positivity and spirit
