We are a thriving cricket club, playing on a picturesque ground, situated on the Surrey/Sussex border, equidistant from Dorking, Reigate and Horsham.

We have a new pavilion which provides the club with fantastic headquarters and our two lane nets were replaced in June 2022. We also have an artificial pitch, covers and an electronic scoreboard.

This is what Surrey County Cricket club has written about us. “Premier side Newdigate, a bastion of village cricket on the Surrey/Sussex border and relative newcomers after starting life in 1849. Playing a full part in the heart of their community, they arrived late in league cricket by joining the Surrey Downs League in 1999 and switched to the Fuller’s in 2013.”

We offer a friendly environment for cricketers of all ages and abilities.

In 2024 we will be running two Saturday sides in the Shepherd NeameSurrey County League. The 1st XI will be playing in the 1st Division and the 2nd XI will be in the 2nd Division. Visit the Surrey County League.

Our Sunday side/s play traditional friendly matches and also some league matches in the Village Cricket League (VCL). Our midweek team play twenty over friendlies throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings.

Our ladies, known as the Newdigate Ninjas, play in the Surrey Women’s T20 Slam and in the Surrey Women's League in conjunction with Dorking CC. Contact Charlie Collard (charlottecollard23@gmail.com) for more information.

Our 20/20 side known as the Earthquakes play in the Surrey Slam league.

We are now in a position to be able to Stream our games live over YouTube. Due to restrictions and potential issues with consent, these will initially only be adult games / games with limited Under 18s where we can get consent from the parents.

Our girls and boys, 5-11 years of age, meet on Friday evenings at 6.00 pm for coaching and the older ones start at 7.00 pm.

Our 5-7s participate in All Stars Cricket.

58,000 young people have signed up to all Stars Cricket across the country.

In 2024 we have entered teams at under 9, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 17 levels in the Surrey Junior Cricket championship. Full details of the junior season can be seen under the junior section. For more information go to: https://surreyjuniorchampionship.play-cricket.com/Aboutus

We believe in running a club which is open and equable to everyone. Our systems have been examined and as a result we have been awarded the ECB Clubmark Accreditation which recognises our commitment to being a safe, welcoming and family friendly club. This has now been renewed for the period 2022-2025.

If you think that this is your kind of club then please contact us

Simon Hughes has written in the May 2020 issue of the Cricketer:

“Sport is a temporary deflection away from reality, an uplifting experience after a hard week at work – whether playing or watching – or an opportunity to bond with people who share a communal passion”.
